Time of Flight Image Segmentation through Co-Regularized Spectral Clustering

    Get PDF
Time of Flight (TOF) cameras generate two simultaneous images, one for intensity and one for range. This allows tackling segmentation problems where the information pertaining to intensity or range alone is not enough to extract objects of interest from a 3D scene. In this paper, we present a spectral segmentation method that combines information from both images. By modifying the affinity matrix of each of the images based on the other, the segmentation of objects in the scene is improved. The proposed method exploits two mechanisms, one for reducing the computational demand when calculating the eigenvectors for each matrix, and another for improving segmentation performance. The experimental results obtained with two sets of real images are presented and used to assess the proposed method.Publicado en Feierherd, Guillermo; Pesado, Patricia; Spositto, Osvaldo (eds.). ROC performance evaluation of RADSPM technique

    Get PDF
The purpose of Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI) is to map areas of increased neuronal activity of the human brain. fMRI has been applied to investigate a variety of neuronal processes from activities in the primary sensory and motor cortices to cognitive functions such as perception or learning. Robust anisotropic diffusion of statistical parametric maps (RADSPM) is a new technique to improve functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging. RADSPM attempts to improve voxel classification based on robust anisotropic diffusion (RAD) to include the spatial relationship between active voxels. This paper compares two fMRI postprocessing techniques used to identify areas of increased neuronal activity, a widely used method, correlation analysis, and RADSPM. In recent years, the use of ROC analysis has been extended from its original use in communication systems to machine learning, pattern classification and fMRI. We proposed to use ROC curves and the area under the curve (AUC) not only as a final performance evaluation and visualizing technique but as a gauging parameter procedure in RADSPM. We give a brief review of the main methods and conclude presenting experimental results and suggesting further research alternatives.Workshop de Computación Gráfica, Imágenes y Visualización (WCGIV)Red de Universidades con Carreras en Informática (RedUNCI

Segmentación espectral de imágenes utilizando camaras de tiempo de vuelo

    Get PDF

Interleaving Scheduling Algorithm for SLM Transactions in Mode S Surveillance Radar

    Get PDF
Mode S Secondary Surveillance Radar establishes selective and univocally addressed transactions with aircraft within its coverage while using efficiently the available budgets of time and energy. This benefits are key to supporting high-traffic density. A preliminary interleaving algorithm for the scheduling of Short Length Message transactions is presented and tested under a heavy load simulated scenario.IX Workshop Procesamiento de Señales y Sistemas de Tiempo Real (WPSTR)Red de Universidades con Carreras en Informática (RedUNCI

    Get PDF

    Get PDF
